I'm in space.
More specifically, I'm on a spaceship, along with many other people, and I can see from a distance some sort of platform where some people are fighting. The platform looked pretty much like the fight platform of the game "Brawlhalla", though in the dream, the goal was only to overpower the opponent, not throw them off the platform.
Unlike the videogame, it is always only two people fighting and I see that they can also use weapons such as knives and swords to fight. In the next moment, I see myself on the platform fighting with someone, and I realize that my opponent strangely resembles Kano, from Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3:
When the fight started, I quickly realized that my opponent was very skilled, and that I would never stand a chance against him. I didn't get many details of the fight itself, but after some time and some struggling, I notice that I have won the fight. I was very confused at the fact that I had won the fight, and I tell myself that it was pure luck that made me win the fight. Winning this fight turns out to be a very astonishing feat, as some people from the spacecraft's "crew" come to congratulate me and tell me that no one has ever won a fight with Mr. Kano's doppelganger and, because I have won the fight with him, they chose me for a very important mission.
SUDDEN CONTEXT CHANGE
because, you know, this is how dreams work
I am on a big room, setting up tables with my mom. This look like some sort of family gathering, like the one we actually did in real life right before I left my parents' house to move abroad for work. In the dream, we continue setting up tables, and then the reason for that family gathering comes to my mind, it is because I would soon leave planet Earth to go to some other planet. So that's what the "very important mission" was all about…
As I let that information sink in, many emotions and thoughts cross my mind, the happiness of being chosen for such a great feat. The uncertainty of traveling to a different planet without knowing the destination. The curiosity and expectation of meeting the other crew members, something that would only happen once I board the spaceship. And saddened at the thought of leaving my family and friends behind, knowing that I might never be able to see them again.
After digesting these thoughts, I go to a balcony attached to the big room where me and my mom were setting up tables. Then I look around and notice other buildings with very wide and tall windows. One of them particularly catches my attention. As the windows are so large, I can clearly see the inside of the building, and I see a very spacious room with tall walls, and a single armchair in the middle. On the wall at the other end of the room, I see lots of frames covering most of the wall, and a man standing up next to the chair, appreciating the frames. I can only see the man's back, and when I look again to the frames, I can't really make out what they depict, but one of them catches my attention more than the other ones, and I can see that it has vibrant green and pink colors. Though I can't make out the details of this frame, I like to imagine that it depicted a flamingo (one of my favorite animals) on a grass background.
When I lift my eyes from the building with the frames, and look along the street and then to the sky, I notice that the sky had a very distinctive purple color. I then narrow my eyes while looking at the sky, and notice some sort of "bubble" encompassing all the buildings within eyesight, which makes me think that maybe, just maybe, I was already outside planet Earth…
